Job Requirements

  • must possess a USAF Pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum flight hours as specified for position grade
  • submit official flight history documentation including ATAFR-209 Form or Flying History Report
  • meet military membership and uniform requirements
  • comply with age, height, weight, and fitness standards
  • be eligible for Air Force Reserve membership
  • availability for 15 days active duty per year
  • willingness to respond to mobilization orders

Job Qualifications

  • possession of a USAF Pilot rating
  • valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum required military flight time in mission design series based on grade level
  • experience in flying components of the U.S. military for flight instructor positions
  • ability to pass stringent physical fitness and medical standards
  • knowledge of military operational protocols
  • effective communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • conduct flight operations according to military and civilian standards
  • maintain pilot qualifications and physical fitness
  • instruct and train flight students and junior pilots
  • evaluate flight performance and ensure safety compliance
  • support mission readiness and deployment activities
  • manage flight documentation and reporting
  • coordinate with military and civilian leadership to meet operational goals
