Job Qualifications
- Possess a USAF Pilot rating
- Hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
- Minimum military flight time of 750 hours for GS-2181-12 pilots
- Minimum military flight time of 1,000 hours for GS-2181-13 pilots
- Minimum military flight time of 1,200 hours plus two years progressively responsible experience for GS-2181-13 flight instructors
- Minimum military flight time of 1,500 hours plus three years progressively responsible experience for GS-2181-14 flight instructors
- Experience in flying component of U.S. military qualifying for progression to Wing Operations and Training Officer or equivalent
- Ability to submit official flight documentation including ATAFR-209 or Flying History Report
- Meet military fitness and uniform requirements
- Commitment to military membership in Air Force Reserve.
Job Duties
- Conduct flight operations and training in assigned aircraft
- Maintain up-to-date flight records and submit required documentation
- Train and instruct aircrew and other pilots under supervision guidelines
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and military standards
- Participate in unit readiness and mission preparation activities
- Perform dual civilian and military duties as Air Reserve Technician
- Maintain physical fitness and military specialty qualifications according to Air Force Reserve guidelines
- Respond to mobilization orders and national emergency activations promptly
