The United States Air Force Reserve is seeking qualified candidates for multiple Air Reserve Technician (ART) positions as Airplane Pilot/Helicopter Pilot and Flight Instructor. Job Requirements

  • submit official flight history and documentation
  • meet military age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards
  • maintain active military membership in the Air Force Reserve
  • hold required pilot certification and military orders
  • provide terminal leave form or DD214 if applicable
  • be eligible for appointment according to military regulations
  • comply with dual civilian and military duties requirements

Job Qualifications

  • possess a USAF pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • have minimum military flight time per GS-level requirements
  • prior experience as flight instructor for GS-2181-13 and GS-2181-14
  • two to three years of progressively responsible military flying experience for instructor roles
  • ability to maintain military membership and meet uniform and fitness standards

Job Duties

  • perform piloting duties as assigned in mission design series aircraft
  • conduct flight training and instruction
  • maintain currency and proficiency in assigned aircraft
  • adhere to safety protocols and regulations
  • participate in mission planning and execution
  • maintain military fitness and readiness standards
  • support unit mobilization and deployment activities
