Job Requirements
- submit official flight history and documentation
- meet military age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards
- maintain active military membership in the Air Force Reserve
- hold required pilot certification and military orders
- provide terminal leave form or DD214 if applicable
- be eligible for appointment according to military regulations
- comply with dual civilian and military duties requirements
Job Qualifications
- possess a USAF pilot rating
- hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
- have minimum military flight time per GS-level requirements
- prior experience as flight instructor for GS-2181-13 and GS-2181-14
- two to three years of progressively responsible military flying experience for instructor roles
- ability to maintain military membership and meet uniform and fitness standards
Job Duties
- perform piloting duties as assigned in mission design series aircraft
- conduct flight training and instruction
- maintain currency and proficiency in assigned aircraft
- adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- participate in mission planning and execution
- maintain military fitness and readiness standards
- support unit mobilization and deployment activities
