Job Requirements

  • Valid USAF pilot rating
  • Minimum required military flight hours as per GS level
  • Possession of valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Air Force Reserve military membership
  • Meet age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards
  • Submit official flight documentation (ATAFR-209 Form or equivalent)
  • Willingness to fulfill military training and active duty requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Possess a USAF pilot rating
  • Hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • Meet required minimum military flight hours based on GS level
  • Have experience in flying component of U.S. military
  • Demonstrate progressively responsible pilot roles for instructor positions
  • Ability to maintain military membership and adhere to uniform standards
  • Proficient in mission design series aircraft operations

Job Duties

  • Serve as airplane or helicopter pilot for military missions
  • Instruct and train junior pilots and aircrew
  • Maintain compliance with aviation service orders and safety regulations
  • Conduct flight operations and mission planning
  • Perform evaluations and readiness assessments
  • Participate in military training and active duty tours
  • Maintain physical fitness and military specialty qualifications
