Job Requirements

  • must be a U.S. Air Force pilot rated individual
  • hold a current valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • meet minimum flight hour requirements specific to grade
  • provide required flight documentation (ATAFR-209, Flying History Report, or equivalent)
  • meet military physical fitness, age, height, and weight standards
  • maintain membership in Air Force Reserve
  • willingness to serve full-time as air reserve technician
  • ability to fulfill military and civilian job responsibilities concurrently

Job Qualifications

  • possession of a USAF Pilot rating
  • valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • minimum total military flight time as per GS level (750 hours for GS-12, 1000-1500 hours for GS-13 and GS-14)
  • experience in flying components of the U.S. military
  • ability to qualify for progression into wing operations and training officer roles
  • capability to provide official flight history documentation
