Job Description

The United States Air Force Reserve is a vital component of the United States Department of Defense, serving as an operational reserve force that contributes to national security and homeland defense. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 750 to 1,500 total military flight hours depending on grade
  • Possess USAF Pilot rating
  • Hold valid aviation service aeronautical order

  • Meet physical fitness standards
  • Maintain military membership in the Air Force Reserve
  • Ability to meet military age, height, and weight requirements

Job Duties

  • Conduct flight operations according to mission requirements
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections
  • Instruct and evaluate other pilots as a flight instructor
  • Maintain compliance with aviation safety and operational standards
  • Coordinate with military units and command for mission planning
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aircraft systems and aviation regulations
  • Maintain physical fitness and military readiness
