Job Requirements
- Must have USAF Pilot rating
- Hold valid aviation service aeronautical order
- Meet minimum military flight hour requirements by GS level
- Submit official flying history and total flight hours documentation
- Must be eligible for Air Force Reserve military membership
- Comply with military uniform and physical fitness standards
- Be available for full-time employment as Air Reserve Technician
- Able to participate in active duty tours and military duties
- Provide statement of service or DD214 if applicable
- Submit application within public notice period
Job Qualifications
- Possess USAF Pilot rating
- Hold valid aviation service aeronautical order
- Minimum of 750 to 1,500 total military flight hours in mission design series, depending on GS level
- Experience in flying component of the U.S. military establishment
- For instructors, progressive flying experience qualifying for Wing Operations and Training Officer or equivalent
- Ability to submit official flying history documentation
- Meet Air Force Reserve military standards including age, height, weight, and physical fitness
- Effective communication and coordination skills
Job Duties
- Maintain proficiency and operate assigned Air Force aircraft in mission design series
- Conduct flight training and instruction for Air Force Reserve pilots
- Ensure compliance with all aviation safety regulations and Air Force directives
- Support mission planning and execution in coordination with unit leadership
- Participate in active duty training periods and meet Air Force Reserve readiness standards
- Maintain and update flight logs and records, including ATAFR-209 form or equivalent
- Coordinate with Air Force Reserve and civilian personnel to sustain mission effectiveness
