Job Description

These positions are offered by the United States Air Force Reserve as Air Reserve Technician (ART) roles, dedicated to piloting aboard airplanes or helicopters. Job Requirements

  • applicant must possess a USAF pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • have minimum required military flight time as specified by grade level
  • provide official documentation of flight history and hours
  • meet military physical, age, height, and weight standards
  • maintain Air Force Reserve military membership
  • comply with both civilian and military qualifications
  • submit required forms such as ATAFR-209 or equivalent flying history reports

Job Qualifications

  • possess a USAF pilot rating
  • hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
  • have progressively responsible military flight experience
  • demonstrate the ability to instruct and evaluate pilots
  • meet military physical fitness and uniform requirements
  • have extensive flight hours in mission design series
  • possess leadership experience equivalent to Wing Operations and Training Officer

Job Duties

  • maintain a valid USAF pilot rating and aviation service aeronautical order
  • accumulate required military flight time in the mission design series
  • perform flight operations as assigned
  • provide flight instruction and training to fellow pilots
  • uphold military standards including uniform, physical fitness, and readiness
  • complete and maintain detailed flight records and reports
  • participate actively in unit drills, training, and readiness exercises
