The Air Reserve Technician (ART) position is a unique and prestigious role within the United States Air Force Reserve. Job Requirements
- must have at least 1,000 total military flight hours
- must hold a valid USAF Navigator or Combat Systems Officer rating
- must be instructor qualified in unit aircraft and MDS
- must submit official flying hour documentation before duty date
- meet federal GS time-in-grade requirements if applicable
- must obtain military membership in the Air Force Reserve
- comply with physical fitness, age, height, and weight standards
- must meet job-specific military specialty requirements
Job Qualifications

- must possess a valid aviation service aeronautical order

Job Duties
- plan and execute flying operations
- conduct unit flying training activities

- support operational and administrative aspects of aircraft employment
- provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior aviators
- ensure compliance with military and civilian standards
- communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
