Job Requirements
- Meet specialized experience requirements per OPM qualification standards
- Submit official flying hour reports and aviation order documentation
- Meet federal time-in-grade requirements for GS positions if applicable
- Obtain and maintain military membership in the Air Force Reserve
- Meet age, height, weight, and physical fitness standards
- Ability to resolve complex issues and maintain good work relations
- Meet instructor qualification requirements in MDS aircraft
Job Qualifications
- Must have USAF Navigator or Combat Systems Officer rating
- Hold a valid aviation service aeronautical order
- Minimum 1,000 total military flight hours
- Instructor qualified in unit aircraft and MDS
- Knowledge of Air Force Reserve and MAJCOM operations
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Experience in developing flight training policies and plans
Job Duties
- Develop and implement flight training programs
- Monitor and evaluate flying operations for compliance and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and unit policies
- Provide instructor-level flight training and mentorship
- Maintain detailed records of aviation activities and flight hours
- Coordinate with military and civilian personnel for operational planning
- Resolve operational issues and communicate effectively with command units
