This opportunity is with the Air Force Reserve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer position located at the 459 OPERATIONS SUPPORT unit. Job Requirements
- Must be an Air Reserve Technician officer
- meet Air Force Reserve eligibility and maintain military rank of Lt. Col.
- willing to work full-time civilian and Reserve duties
- must pass standardization and evaluation flight examinations
- able to work overtime and uncommon tours
- sign mobility agreement for potential reassignment
- comply with Domestic Violence Misdemeanor amendment
- must be willing to relocate as required
- physical ability to tolerate G-forces
- valid instructor pilot status within two years
- participate in unit training assemblies
Job Qualifications
- Instructor qualified in unit aircraft
- logged 1,000 or more total pilot hours or 1,300 hours primary flight time
- knowledge of flying operations and military planning
- able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- leadership and managerial abilities
- must obtain and retain appropriate security clearance
- must become instructor qualified within two years
- relevant pilot training and experience in Air Force active duty or Reserve
Job Duties
- Plan and conduct flying operations and training activities
- provide instructor and evaluator pilot duties
- formulate plans and policies for flying operations
- participate in regular flight evaluations and testing
- lead and manage unit flying training programs
- ensure compliance with Air Force Reserve requirements
- perform other duties as assigned
