Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • undergraduate degree from accredited institution
  • Federal Aviation Administration certifications or military aviation school accreditation
  • minimum 24 months of relevant aviation experience
  • one year on-the-job experience at required grade or rank
  • ability to read and apply mission tasks, intelligence, and weather information
  • proficiency in flight operations and safety regulations
  • experience with mission planning and crew briefings
  • must upload transcripts and career data briefs as proof of education and certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Federal Aviation Administration certifications or accredited military aviation school certifications
  • minimum of one year of on-the-job experience at the grade immediately below the next higher level
  • at least 24 months of experience in civilian or military aviation programs
  • proficient in flight theory, navigation, meteorology, and mission tactics
  • experienced in training and instructing others in piloting specific military aircraft
  • knowledge of aviation safety and quality control programs
  • strong leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Deliver flight instruction and training to Air National Guard pilots
  • plan and coordinate mission preparations and flight schedules
  • conduct preflight inspections and ensure aircraft are mission-ready
  • supervise and evaluate flight safety programs and quality control initiatives
  • develop and apply flight safety protocols and operational risk management
  • advise commanders on flight operations, training, and safety compliance
  • coordinate with FAA and other agencies for airspace and mission requirements
