Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • PC skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • successful completion of all airline and airport training
  • availability to work split shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to respond to emergencies and severe weather
  • valid driver's license
  • successful completion of drug screenings
  • pass FAA/TSA security clearance and background check
  • good English language skills including speaking, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl regularly
  • ability to use hands and fingers to type and handle bags and objects
  • ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally 99 pounds with assistance
  • capacity to pull and push customers in wheelchairs weighing up to 250 pounds
  • adequate vision including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • sufficient auditory ability and tolerance for noise levels up to 150 decibels with hearing protection
  • ability to work near moving mechanical parts and move within work area
  • willingness to work in inclement weather including extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • proficiency with PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other applicable computer programs
  • strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to pass required airline and airport training
  • availability to work split shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to respond to emergency situations and severe weather
  • valid driver's license
  • successful completion of new hire and random drug screenings
  • pass FAA/TSA security clearance and background check

Job Duties

  • Process airline reservations and provide flight information
  • collect reservation and service fees
  • handle luggage processing and assist with devices
  • manage denied boarding situations, re-accommodate customers, and provide hotel, meal, and ground transportation vouchers
  • perform gate and boarding functions
  • assist customers requiring luggage, wheelchair, and aisle chair support
  • adhere to all airline, TSA, FAA regulations and Authority policies, procedures, and best practices
  • professionally communicate over two-way radios and handle telephone calls
  • assist with accident investigations, reporting, and statistical analysis
  • identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • work independently and make decisions
  • deliver outstanding customer service and build professional relationships
  • perform additional duties as assigned
