Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • possess a valid driver’s license
  • have a high school diploma or GED
  • be able to read, write, and speak English at a basic comprehensive level
  • possess basic mathematical and computer skills
  • demonstrate effective communication skills verbally and in writing
  • successfully pass all airline and airport initial and recurrent training
  • be capable of responding to emergency situations
  • be able to work in severe weather conditions
  • successfully pass new hire and random drug screenings
  • pass a criminal background check
  • regularly stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel
  • lift up to 70 pounds unassisted
  • have adequate vision including color and peripheral
  • have sufficient auditory ability and tolerate high noise levels
  • ability to talk and hear
  • work outside in all weather conditions including extreme temperatures
  • use hands and fingers to handle equipment and baggage
  • operate near moving mechanical parts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • valid driver’s license
  • basic English reading, writing, and speaking skills
  • basic mathematical skills
  • basic computer skills and knowledge of general office equipment
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to successfully pass initial and recurrent airline and airport training
  • ability to respond to emergencies and work in severe weather
  • ability to pass drug screenings and criminal background checks

Job Duties

  • Tow aircraft and marshal aircraft to and from gates
  • service aircraft lavatories and potable water tanks
  • perform aircraft de-icing
  • clean aircraft interiors and conduct security searches
  • load, offload, and transport luggage including special care items
  • operate, maintain, and fuel ground support equipment such as baggage tractors, belt loaders, push-back tugs, and deicing trucks
  • ensure ramp area is safe and free of Foreign Object Debris
  • perform general housekeeping and snow removal on assigned areas
  • collaborate with other departments to ensure on-time flight performance
  • adhere to all Airline, TSA, FAA regulations and Authority policies
  • communicate effectively via two-way radio and telephone
  • assist customers with luggage and wheelchair requests
  • work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • perform additional duties as assigned
