Job Requirements
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- valid driver’s license
- ability to work in inclement weather
- ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- willingness to join the Transport Workers Union and pay union dues
Job Qualifications
- Good communications and language skills
- ability to read, write, and fluently speak and understand English
- experience in ramp or ground handling preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure
- load and unload cargo and baggage on and off aircraft
- safely drive and operate ground support equipment including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts
- sort and load baggage
- perform ground service functions such as connecting and removing ground power and ground start units and water service
- perform aircraft pushback, wing walking and related guide man functions
- maintain a secure work environment
