Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- must pass a ten year background check and pre-employment drug test
- must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986
- attend and successfully complete required training
- able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must be able to carry a 70-pound suitcase and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and twisting
- must have physical dexterity to sustain positions for extended periods
- must be well groomed
- must be pleasant, reliable, responsible, cooperative, attentive to detail, maintain composure under stress, accept criticism, and abide by company and airline policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum two years customer service experience or equivalent training and experience
- basic computer skills with ability to type 25 wpm
- excellent communication skills
- ability to read and write English
- bilingual skills a plus
- willing to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to work efficiently under time constraints
Job Duties
- Processing customer tickets
- checking baggage
- monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity
- assigning seats
- providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements
- handling denied boarding situations and soliciting volunteers
- accommodating customers and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate
- ensuring FAA, airline, and airport regulations are followed
- enforcing safety and security measures
- assisting customers with special needs
- completing sales reports
- performing ad hoc assignments as requested
