Job Requirements
- One year experience in the aviation industry including six months as an airline service agent with ticketing and/or ramp services
- Must complete initial and advanced customer service and ramp services training within probation period
- Must pass background investigation and fingerprint-based criminal records check
- Must pass periodic random drug testing
- Must be available to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to carry 70-pound luggage
- Must possess physical dexterity to perform repetitive tasks including bending, squatting, kneeling and twisting
- Must comply with FAA and TSA security regulations
- Must hold or obtain necessary certifications including driver’s license, CRO and ground security coordinator
- Must be able to respond to emergency call-ins
Job Qualifications
- Two to five years previous management or specialist supervisory experience in field service duties
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with personal computer software
- Airline pricing experience
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of FAA and TSA security directives
- Valid driver’s license
- Customer resolution official certificate when required
- Ground security coordinator certificate for aircraft over 61 seats
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer service/ticketing platforms
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgment
Job Duties
- Plan, organize, direct and participate in ramp/ground and customer service operations including security screening, baggage handling, aircraft deicing, cleaning, and lavatory services
- Direct and train ground operations and customer service agents including new employee and ongoing compliance training
- Implement departmental policies for ramp/ground and customer service operations and advise lead agents on policy issues and operational improvements
- Coordinate ground operation and customer service activities with air carrier personnel, station managers, and TSA representatives
- Ensure compliance with FAA and TSA regulations, airline corporate rules, and safety directives
- Maintain emergency checklists and supplies
- Prepare and submit verbal and written reports on ground service activities and personnel
- Handle billing, payment corrections, cash handling, supply ordering and other related business responsibilities
- Work various shifts including swing, graveyard, weekends and holidays
