Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- must pass a 10 year background check and pre-employment drug test
- must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986
- must be available to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts, weekends and holidays
- must be physically fit to lift and carry 70 lbs
- must be able to attend required training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- bilingual skills are a plus
- physically able to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and kneeling
- valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Processing customers tickets
- checking baggage
- monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity
- assigning seats
- providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements
- handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating customers and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate
- ensuring FAA, airline, and airport regulations are followed
- enforcing safety and security measures and protecting sensitive zones
- assisting customers with special needs, such as those who need assistance in boarding
- loading and unloading baggage on and off the aircraft
- marshaling in the planes and pushing back the aircraft
- maintaining excellent communication skills
- working in extreme outdoor conditions
- other duties as assigned by the station leader
