Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or 4 years direct relevant experience
  • completed the Military Aircraft Repairer Course or holds an FAA A&P Mechanic Certificate
  • must be available to work non-standard schedule that may include evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Valid FAA A&P Mechanic Certificate (Inspection Authorization, IA, preferred)
  • 1 year experience performing aircraft maintenance functions that require a valid FAA A&P
  • 1 year experience interacting with Federal Aviation Administration Principal Operations Inspectors, Principal Maintenance Inspectors or Aviation Safety Inspectors
  • previously certified or qualified to perform aircraft engine ground runs or test
  • A&P experience in repairing general aviation fixed wing aircraft
  • average skills at using the Microsoft Office Suite computer
  • previous experience supporting avionics installation and repair is a plus for this position

Job Duties

  • Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components (e.g., engines, rotors, transmissions, flight controls, etc.)
  • performs scheduled and unscheduled services on aircraft, subassemblies, components, and ground support equipment
  • assists in preparing aircraft for inspections and services
  • performs scheduled inspections and services
  • annotates logbooks and records
  • performs ground-run operational checks and trouble-shooting
  • accomplishes operator maintenance on ground support equipment, test sets, and special tools
