Job Requirements
- High school graduate or 4 years direct relevant experience
- completed the Military Aircraft Repairer Course or holds an FAA A&P Mechanic Certificate
- must be available to work non-standard schedule that may include evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Valid FAA A&P Mechanic Certificate (Inspection Authorization, IA, preferred)
- 1 year experience performing aircraft maintenance functions that require a valid FAA A&P
- 1 year experience interacting with Federal Aviation Administration Principal Operations Inspectors, Principal Maintenance Inspectors or Aviation Safety Inspectors
- previously certified or qualified to perform aircraft engine ground runs or test
- A&P experience in repairing general aviation fixed wing aircraft
- average skills at using the Microsoft Office Suite computer
- previous experience supporting avionics installation and repair is a plus for this position
Job Duties
- Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components (e.g., engines, rotors, transmissions, flight controls, etc.)
- performs scheduled and unscheduled services on aircraft, subassemblies, components, and ground support equipment
- assists in preparing aircraft for inspections and services
- performs scheduled inspections and services
- annotates logbooks and records
- performs ground-run operational checks and trouble-shooting
- accomplishes operator maintenance on ground support equipment, test sets, and special tools
