Job Requirements
- valid driver's license
- ability to work in all types of weather
- availability for emergency call-ins
- successful completion of pre-employment drug testing
- legal authorization to work in the United States
- completion of City of Springfield online application
- ability to maintain Class B Commercial Driver's License during probationary period
Job Qualifications
- two years experience in construction or general maintenance of commercial grounds and facilities
- experience with operation of light to medium construction equipment
- ability to obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes
- knowledge of mowing, dirt work, sidewalk and asphalt/concrete maintenance
- preferred Certified Public Operator Pesticide License Category 3
Job Duties
- perform general maintenance duties on airport airfields, runways, and grounds
- operate light to medium construction equipment
- mow grass and maintain turf areas
- complete electrical maintenance tasks
- paint runway and other airport markings
- respond to emergency call-ins
- repair sidewalks, asphalt, and concrete surfaces
