Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in any combination of construction, paving, facilities or grounds maintenance
- Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B
- Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit within six months from date of hire
- Ability to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as per Aviation Department and TSA criteria
- Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection if applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in construction, paving, facilities or grounds maintenance
- Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B
- Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit within six months from date of hire
- Ability to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Job Duties
- Participate in the maintenance and repair of airport equipment and surrounding property and facilities
- Perform snow removal from airfield runways, taxiways and terminal areas
- Operate pavement maintenance equipment to repair airfield surfaces
- Independently perform the full array of airport facilities maintenance and repair tasks
- Interpret, explain and abide by department policies and procedures
- Operate a variety of maintenance equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Effectively communicate with communications tower
