Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of organizational level aircraft maintenance experience
  • Valid Virginia or North Carolina driver license if applicable
  • Experience with special maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and understand technical and safety documents
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to successfully obtain security clearance and facility credentials
  • Prior military aviation maintenance training or technical school curriculum preferred
  • Possession of FAA issued A&P license preferred
  • Experience with U.S. Navy F/A-18 aircraft maintenance highly preferred.

Job Duties

  • Service aircraft including flight line servicing
  • Direct incoming and outgoing aircraft with hand or light signals
  • Secure aircraft in parking positions with chocks and tie downs
  • Operate service vehicles to replenish fuel and oil
  • Perform pre-flight to post-flight maintenance inspections and document servicing
  • Check for fuel contamination and operate ground support equipment
  • Assist in towing aircraft and perform interior and exterior aircraft cleaning
  • Conduct hangar deck housekeeping and clean fluid spills using various tools and equipment.
