Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- previous airline experience preferred
- previous experience in security military or customer service preferred
- must be a U.S. citizen
- must be 18 years of age or older
- must have reliable telephone and transportation
- treat all information as confidential
- possess tact to handle situations with clients employees and the public
- ability to read write understand and carry out instructions in English
- ability to sit stand lift and bend throughout the shift
- pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- pass pre-employment background check
- meet requirements to obtain security sensitive identification badge
- be in possession of a valid U.S. passport
- willing to travel to Cuba and return same day

Job Duties
- Provide security screening to prevent the introduction of weapons explosives and other dangerous items into the air transportation system
- conduct physical searches and take proper action upon detection of questionable or dangerous items
- notify or ensure immediate notification of law enforcement officers and airline ground security coordinators when necessary
- ensure safe handling of dangerous or deadly weapons and objects until arrival of law enforcement officers
- contact law enforcement officers if contraband items are discovered and maintain control of such items until law enforcement arrival
- report all government tests real weapons injuries and major incidents to supervisor immediately
- maintain cleanliness of work area report maintenance needs and keep supervisor informed of problems
- treat all information as confidential
- communicate effectively with employees clients and public
- attend meetings and in-services as required
- utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records reports and files as required
- adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
- perform other duties as requested
- comply with all safety requirements including using trained equipment reporting unsafe conditions and injuries wearing proper PPE attending safety training
