Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous airline, security, military, or customer service experience preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Must meet requirements for a security sensitive identification badge
  • Must be able to sit, stand, lift and bend throughout the shift
  • Must be in possession of a valid US passport
  • Must be willing to travel to Cuba and return the same day
  • Must treat all information as confidential
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and courteously

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Previous airline experience preferred
  • Previous experience in security, military, or customer service preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • Possess tact to deal with all levels of situations and individuals
  • Must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • Must be willing to travel as required including same-day travel to Cuba

Job Duties

  • Provide security screening to prevent the introduction of weapons, explosives and other dangerous items
  • Use available screening equipment such as hand-held metal detectors and physical inspections
  • Conduct physical searches and take proper action upon detection of questionable or dangerous items
  • Notify law enforcement officers or airline ground security coordinators when necessary
  • Ensure safe handling and maintain control of dangerous weapons or contraband until law enforcement arrives
  • Communicate safety hazards and equipment problems to managers
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and report maintenance needs
  • Project a positive image and respond courteously to inquiries from clients, staff and public
  • Attend meetings and in-services as required
  • Utilize communication channels and maintain records, reports and files
