Job Requirements
- Associates degree in related field or related work experience
- Two or more years' experience in Aircraft Materials and Logistics or related field in the airline industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple high priority requests efficiently
- Must be eligible to obtain MSP SIDA badge
- Willingness to work onsite in Minneapolis, MN
- Ability to work full-time in a professional office environment
- Capability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Must meet physical demands of the job involving standing, walking, handling, and reaching
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree in related field or equivalent related work experience
- Two or more years' experience in Aircraft Materials and Logistics or a related field in the industry
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Capable of coordinating multiple high priority requests in an organized, urgent manner
- Ability to obtain MSP SIDA badge
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations preferred
- Knowledge of customs broker regulations and international shipping preferred
- Understanding of hazardous material shipping requirements preferred
- Supply chain accreditations such as CPM, APP, CIP preferred
- Project management experience preferred
Job Duties
- Obtain and expedite the supply of components or services for aircraft in an AOG situation in the shortest possible time
- Determine the most appropriate logistical need to transport parts to grounded aircraft including courier, charter, or standard shipping methods
- Perform all functions related to buying and repair of materials daily including sourcing, writing purchase orders, and generating repair orders
- Expedite parts to clear departure delays due to maintenance
- Coordinate with maintenance control and systems operation control to make certain that all materials arrive in anticipation of changes in planned maintenance
- Track shipment orders to delivery
- Coordinate shipment type of materials including counter to counter, Fed Ex, courier, charter
- Coordinate materials for heavy checks
- Coordinate material needs for fleet campaigns and service bulletins
- Source materials to secure the best value for the company
- Post and update the daily turnover report to assure a smooth transition between shifts
- Perform clerical duties as assigned
- Any other duties assigned by management
