Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Stable employment history
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Possession of required tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to pass FAA 10 year work history, criminal background and fingerprint checks
  • Willingness to pass FAA and company mandated drug and alcohol tests
  • Ability to read, write and speak effectively
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions
  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in outdoor and loud environments
  • Ability to wear protective equipment and respirator
  • Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to travel up to 20 percent of the time

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Previous experience as an A&P mechanic or airline experience preferred
  • Experience using computers for data management
  • Strong understanding of safety rules and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and reports
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to provide on-the-job training
  • Familiarity with FAA and OSHA regulations

Job Duties

  • Performs preventive maintenance, repair, modifications and other maintenance of aircraft, components and related equipment
  • Complies with 14 CFR, manufacturer specifications, GMM, company policies and FAA and OSHA regulations
  • Performs maintenance mechanic duties inside and outside the hangar and at the airport terminal
  • Troubleshoots all aircraft systems
  • Executes maintenance work orders
  • Uses tools, equipment and test apparatus ensuring calibration and serviceability
  • Verifies part effectiveness and material condition
  • Adheres to material handling and control procedures
  • Evaluates safety of area and equipment before maintenance
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment
  • Updates supervisor on work progress
  • Completes maintenance records, documents and computer transactions
  • Provides coaching and on-the-job training
  • Participates in shift meetings and briefings
  • Submits suggested operational improvements
  • Keeps up-to-date with FAA training and certifications
  • Reads and understands maintenance manuals and newsletters
  • Performs other assigned duties as required
