Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2-20 years of relevant experience depending on level
- Ability to work second shift and weekends
- Willingness to travel to offsite locations as needed
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights greater than 25 feet
- Physical ability to lift items up to 50 lbs
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Strong communication skills
- Responsible and self-motivated
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance
- Experience with fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, engine systems, and airframe components
- Experience with line maintenance functions including preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery
- Experience with large aircraft structures or subsystems such as sheet metal work and flight control or landing gear systems
- Strong understanding of FOD and tool control
- Detail oriented with strong attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and adapt quickly
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance
- Physically able to handle items up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work flexible schedules
Job Duties
- Fabrication, installation, testing and maintenance of carrier aircraft systems and components including fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and engine systems
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations including inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems, components, and structures to identify issues
- Identify and resolve mechanical problems based on inspections or reports
- Perform line maintenance functions including preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of maintenance data in Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log
- Operate power tools, ground handling equipment, and work safely in confined spaces or heights
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams
