Job Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- reliable transportation
- eligible to work in the United States
- valid state driver's license with clean motor vehicle record
- successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and federal fingerprint background check
Job Qualifications
- Ability to problem solve
- basic mathematical skills
- demonstrated regular, predictable attendance at the airport location
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- ability to communicate in English while on the job with customers, coworkers, or supervisors who only speak English, in emergencies or other situations in which employees must speak a common language to promote safety
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- basic understanding of computer applications and data entries
Job Duties
- Fuel and service aircraft before departure using airport fueling equipment and ground service equipment
- communicate with the airport dispatch team and other airport personnel
- record fueling data and fuel dispensing data per aircraft using provided handheld tools
- record flight data such as destination, flight number, etc.
- conduct safety checks on service equipment such as fueling carts
- handle fueling hoses and carts along with other airport fueling equipment
- perform other duties as assigned
