Job Requirements
- One year specialized experience at GS-06 level or equivalent
- Knowledge of transportation rules, procedures, and operations
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and communication devices
- Ability to work under heavy workload and meet short deadlines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Time-in-grade eligibility for GS-07 positions as applicable
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy in coordination

Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of department of defense air transportation system and air terminal complex operations
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to interpret and apply air transportation regulations
- Knowledge of handling general and hazardous cargo documentation and restrictions
- Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
- Ability to enforce safety procedures under pressure
Job Duties
- Serve as an information controller managing flow of data for originating, terminating, and transiting aircraft
- Ensure effective communication between maintenance, operations, and Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC) 24/7
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of transportation rules and procedures to resolve procedural assignments
- Monitor and report on cargo handling, aircraft loading/offloading, and passenger eligibility
- Operate and maintain computer systems, telephonic instruments, and two-way radios for information dissemination
- Enforce safety practices and procedures relating to air transportation operations
- Coordinate and resolve operational challenges with base agencies, contractors, and federal entities
