Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a reliable telephone and transportation
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to sit, stand, lift, bend, and climb stairs throughout shift
- Must be able to lift, carry, or hold up to 50 pounds
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must complete a criminal background check
- DMV check may be required
- Must meet requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
- Must be able to verbally communicate in English
- Must be a US citizen or possess appropriate INS authorization
- Must have good hearing and vision
- 10-20 percent of work may be outdoors
- May be required to work weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays
- May be exposed to occasional loud noise levels
- Must treat all information as confidential
- Must possess tactful interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous cleaning or custodial experience preferred
- Familiarity with FAA, TSA, airline, and company regulations
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for pulling work orders
Job Duties
- Thorough cleaning of aircraft interiors including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and galley maintenance
- Fold blankets, change pillowcases, add supplies, clean out garbage, position seatbelts, clean tray tables and windows, conduct upholstery and rug exchanges
- Provision aircraft with required ship supplies according to aircraft type
- Pull assignments or work orders from computer as needed
- Leave notice for supervisor to reorder supply items that are low
- Report accurately and timely on all required documentation
- Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, airline, and company regulations
- Keep supervisor informed of issues and maintain cleanliness of the work area
- Project a positive image and respond courteously to airlines, staff, and the public
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required
- Utilize appropriate communication channels and maintain records
- Adhere to uniform and identification badge requirements
- Follow company policies and contribute to objectives
- Use equipment and supplies conscientiously and cost-effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned
