Job Requirements

  • High school diploma GED or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends holidays and days off
  • Ability to read write fluently speak and understand English
  • Membership in Transport Workers Union as this job is covered by collective bargaining agreement
  • Physical ability to lift supplies weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to perform cleaning tasks in variable weather and environmental conditions
  • Ability to reach bend and twist in confined spaces

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma GED or equivalent
  • Previous experience in cleaning services role preferred
  • Previous experience in aviation industry preferred
  • Ability to read write fluently speak and understand English
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends holidays and days off
  • Membership in Transport Workers Union as this job is covered by collective bargaining agreement

Job Duties

  • Equip airplane cabin by reading checklist specifications with equipment and supplies such as rugs linens blankets carry supplies weighing up to 50 lbs on board aircraft
  • Check condition clean sort count salvage and/or store equipment and assemble kits
  • Operate vacuum cleaner and similar mechanized cleaning aids
  • Check deliveries of supplies against requisitions to determine discrepancies
  • Perform aircraft interior cleaning including equipping aircraft cabin for flight according to specifications
  • Clean interior of aircraft by hand or powered equipment using cleaners
  • Complete aircraft cleaning bill of work as required
  • Stock and clean vehicles used in the cleaning function
  • Stock and clean cabin service make-up rooms area
  • Stock and maintain cabin service kits
  • Dispose of trash rubbish and waste incidental and related to job functions
  • Use cleaning fluids and materials such as washing solutions scrapers squeegees wringer pails and vacuum cleaners
  • Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures
