Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Selective Service registration for males born after 12/31/1959
- Submission of SF50 form
- Designated or random drug testing compliance
- FAA Form 3330-43-1 submission
- Qualifications met by closing date of vacancy announcement
- Ability to pass background investigation
- Willingness to file financial disclosure statement if selected
- Compliance with Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
- Maintenance of medical clearance
- Ability to work under the administrative supervision of a Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinator
Job Qualifications
- Facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year in an ATO terminal or en route facility
- Demonstrated specialized experience in traffic management coordination
- Ability to assess complex traffic conditions and make decisions under pressure
- Understanding of aeronautical and meteorological conditions
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Knowledge of FAA policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Serve as a Traffic Manager Coordinator in an ATC-11 level terminal facility
- Ensure traffic management instructions and restrictions are initiated in accordance with established procedures
- Assess facility capacity and project acceptable levels of traffic
- Issue traffic flow restrictions to adjacent facilities to manage spacing, holding, and rerouting of aircraft
- Maintain awareness of traffic flow, equipment status, airport and weather conditions, and traffic forecasts
- Follow agency policy during implementation of traffic management initiatives
- Maintain currency on required positions of operation
