Job Requirements

  • US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Minimum of five years of FAA Certified Professional Controller experience controlling live traffic or recent contract instructor experience at an FAA facility
  • Experience at the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International ATCT or equivalent facility level
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • FAA Certified Professional Controller certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification
  • Strong technical skills with ATC automation and simulation systems
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with FAA personnel

Job Qualifications

  • FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification
  • Demonstrated experience controlling live air traffic for a minimum of five years
  • Proven ability to use ATC simulation platforms such as TSS, AT Coach, and SGET
  • Experience interfacing with FAA personnel at multiple levels
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills
  • US citizenship with eligibility to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory and Classroom Certification

Job Duties

  • Deliver high-quality classroom and simulation laboratory training to developmental and certified air traffic controllers
  • Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators to enhance their operational skills
  • Participate in the design, development, and continuous improvement of training curriculum and simulation scenarios
  • Obtain and maintain radar and non-radar simulation laboratory certifications at FAA ATC facilities
  • Collaborate effectively with FAA personnel to ensure training services meet local facility and overall FAA Air Traffic Control mission requirements
  • Utilize current ATC automation and simulation systems proficiently to provide realistic training experiences
  • Manage classroom environments and apply effective teaching techniques to optimize student learning
