Job Requirements
- US citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Minimum five years of FAA Certified Professional Controller experience controlling live traffic or recent contract instructor experience at the same or higher ATC facility level
- High school diploma or equivalent
- FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification required
- Ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory Certification
- Strong technical aptitude with ATC automation and simulation systems
- Ability to work day shifts with no travel
- Casual employment including on-call and temporary availability
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain Instructor-II Simulation Laboratory Certification
- Minimum five years of FAA CPC experience controlling live traffic or recent contract instructor experience
- Strong technical skills with current ATC automation and simulation systems
- Experience mentoring students and driving continuous improvement
- Preferred direct experience as CPC at Miami ATCT/TRACON
- Experience with ATC simulation platforms and scenario design
- Demonstrated effective communication and collaboration with FAA personnel
Job Duties
- Deliver classroom and simulation laboratory training to air traffic control students
- Mentor students and Remote Pilot Operators (RPO)
- Participate in curriculum design and development
- Operate and maintain ATC automation and simulation systems
- Achieve and maintain radar and non-radar simulation laboratory certifications
- Interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels to meet training needs
- Design scenarios for simulation platforms such as TSS, AT Coach, and SGET
