Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting events in a distributed mission operations environment
  • Current or prior qualification in one or more specified military operational roles
  • Demonstrated proficiency with simulation and mission planning software
  • Strong knowledge of air force tactics, techniques, and procedures and joint warfare publications
  • Experience working in or managing a mission planning cell
  • Experience creating and disseminating concepts of operations and products consistent with air force or department of defense formats
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret security clearance

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting events in a distributed mission operations environment
  • Current or prior qualification in one or more of the following roles: fighter or attack aircraft crew, remote piloted vehicle operator, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance specialist, tactical air control party or joint terminal attack controller, air battle manager, command and control, or military intelligence, combat search and rescue, army or marine corps combat arms officer, army, navy, or marine aviation fixed or rotary wing, group 4 or 5 UAV flight operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with simulation and mission planning software
  • Strong knowledge of air force tactics, techniques, and procedures (AFTTP 3-1) and joint warfare publications
  • Experience working in or managing a mission planning cell
  • Experience creating and disseminating concepts of operations and products consistent with current Air Force or Department of Defense formats
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a top-secret security clearance
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and mission planning software suites
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for both hardware and software systems
  • Proven ability to collaborate in high-stakes, fast-paced operational environments

Job Duties

  • Develop, execute, and manage all phases of mission generation using simulation and mission planning systems
  • Produce data transfer cartridges, crew mission packages, and related documentation
  • Prepare and distribute mission planning materials including air tasking orders, airspace control orders, special instructions, rules of engagement, concepts of operations, maps, communication cards, target imagery, and briefing slides
  • Build mission scenarios within Environment Generator software and coordinate ECC setup with the Network Control Center
  • Serve as event controller and participate in distributed mission operations events including mission briefings, execution, debriefings, and post-event reporting
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues related to simulation and mission planning systems
  • Work closely with government representatives, operators, and technical staff to ensure mission objectives and training goals are met
  • Attend required academic sessions, training, and scheduled meetings
  • Maintain records of mission planning activities, products, and after-action reports
  • Travel up to 25% to support distributed mission operations events and related mission activities
