Job Requirements
- Reside within 45 minutes of assigned Air Attack Base
- Ability to act as Pilot in Command of Air Tactical aircraft
- Meet minimum PIC experience requirements as specified
- Possess Class 2 FAA Medical Certificate with EKG if age 40 or above
- Ability to respond to dispatches and be airborne within 15 minutes
- Adherence to Cal Fire 8300 policy and procedure
- Ability to follow Amentum General Operation Manual policies
Job Qualifications
- Minimum PIC experience of 1800 hours for airplane
- Minimum PIC experience of 800 hours for multi-engine airplane
- Minimum 200 hours in mountain typical terrain
- Minimum of 75 total instrument hours
- Minimum 50 actual instrument hours
- Minimum 100 night hours
- Minimum 10 hours in make and model to be flown
- Minimum of 500 hours as PIC or co-pilot in aerial firefighting
- Minimum 100 hours in aircraft exceeding 6,000 lbs
- Minimum 50 hours in aircraft exceeding 12,500 lbs
- Minimum 50 hours in turbine powered aircraft
- Class 2 FAA Medical Certificate with EKG for age 40 and above
- Experience working with Air Tactical Group Supervisors
Job Duties
- Staff air tactical platform at assigned Cal Fire base on assigned duty schedule
- Reside within 45 minutes of assigned Air Attack Base
- Act as pilot in command (PIC) of assigned Air Tactical aircraft
- Work in cohesion with assigned Air Tactical Group Supervisors
- Respond to assigned dispatches accordingly and be airborne within 15 minutes of dispatch notification
- Act in accordance with assigned Air Attack Base policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Cal Fire 8300 policy and procedure
