Job Requirements
- Reside within 45 minutes of assigned Air Attack Base
- Ability to respond to dispatches and be airborne within 15 minutes
- Meet minimum PIC experience hours
- Hold a valid Class 2 FAA Medical Certificate with EKG if age 40 and over
- Adhere to Cal Fire 8300 policy and procedures
- Adhere to Amentum General Operation Manual policy
- Work cooperatively with Air Tactical Group Supervisors
- Maintain professionalism in all duties
- Meet physical and medical standards for pilot duty
Job Qualifications
- Minimum PIC experience hours: 1800 total in airplane
- 800 in multi-engine airplane
- 200 in mountain terrain
- 75 total instrument hours
- 50 actual instrument hours
- 100 night flight hours
- 10 hours make and model to be flown
- 500 hours aerial firefighting (PIC or co-pilot) or 100 hours AME >6000 lbs or 50 AME >12500 lbs or 50 AME turbine powered
- Class 2 FAA Medical Certificate with EKG (age 40+)
Job Duties
- Staff air tactical platform at assigned Cal Fire base on assigned duty schedule
- Reside within 45 minutes of assigned Air Attack Base
- Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) of assigned Air Tactical aircraft
- Work in cohesion with assigned Air Tactical Group Supervisors
- Respond to assigned dispatches accordingly and be airborne within 15 minutes of dispatch notification
- Act in accordance with assigned Air Attack Base policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Cal Fire 8300 policy and procedure
- Adhere to all Amentum General Operation Manual policy and procedure
- Act in a professional manner always in accordance with Amentum standards
