Job Requirements
- Minimum PIC experience hours as specified
- Reside within 45 minutes of assigned Air Attack Base
- Be able to act as Pilot in Command
- Comply with all Cal Fire and Amentum policies and procedures
- Ability to respond to dispatches and be airborne within 15 minutes
- Maintain professional conduct in accordance with Amentum standards
- Possess Class 2 FAA Medical Certificate with EKG if age 40 or older
Job Qualifications
- Hold required PIC experience hours including 1,800 hours for airplane and 800 hours for multi-engine airplane
- Possess at least 200 hours of mountain flying experience
- Maintain minimum 75 hours of instrument time including 50 hours actual
- Have at least 100 hours of night flying experience
- Have 10 hours on make and model to be flown
- Have 500 hours of aerial firefighting experience as PIC or co-pilot
- Maintain 100 hours on AME aircraft over 6,000 lbs
- Have 50 hours on AME aircraft over 12,500 lbs
- Possess 50 hours on AME turbine powered aircraft
- Hold a Class 2 FAA Medical Certificate with EKG if age 40 or older
Job Duties
- Staff air tactical platform at assigned Cal Fire base on assigned duty schedule
- Reside within 45 minutes of assigned Air Attack Base
- Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) of assigned Air Tactical aircraft
- Work in cohesion with assigned Air Tactical Group Supervisors
- Respond to assigned dispatches accordingly and be airborne within 15 minutes of dispatch notification
- Act in accordance with assigned Air Attack Base policies and procedures
- Adhere to all Cal Fire 8300 policy and procedure
