Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or international equivalent required
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays including Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times daily
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts and cover long distances on foot
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions including hot, cold, rain, wind and snow
  • Ability to understand and respond to verbal safety commands with or without visual aids

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or international equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to understand and respond to verbal commands and safety warnings
  • Preferably one-year experience in a similar role
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Good judgment and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Transport, load and unload air freight containers from aircraft within confined areas
  • Push, pull and position loaded air freight containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs
  • Remove tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
  • Read off-load sheets to determine destination of Express packages
  • Operate ramp equipment with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs in congested areas
  • Engage in push-out of aircraft using 80,000 lb vehicle or assist by guiding driver during push-back
  • Communicate effectively with team members and cockpit crew during operations
