Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or international equivalent required
- Must have valid driver’s license
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work weekends and holidays including Friday, Saturday and Sunday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times daily
- Ability to stand for entire shifts and cover long distances on foot
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including hot, cold, rain, wind and snow
- Ability to understand and respond to verbal safety commands with or without visual aids
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or international equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to understand and respond to verbal commands and safety warnings
- Preferably one-year experience in a similar role
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Good judgment and communication skills
Job Duties
- Transport, load and unload air freight containers from aircraft within confined areas
- Push, pull and position loaded air freight containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs
- Remove tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
- Read off-load sheets to determine destination of Express packages
- Operate ramp equipment with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs in congested areas
- Engage in push-out of aircraft using 80,000 lb vehicle or assist by guiding driver during push-back
- Communicate effectively with team members and cockpit crew during operations
