Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years freight forwarding experience preferred
  • Basic math and geography skills
  • Ability to analyze numerical data and find patterns
  • Basic knowledge or ability to learn CargoWise
  • Basic knowledge or ability to learn freight movement air vendors and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively
  • Time management skills

  • Ability to add subtract multiply divide using units of currency weight volume and distance measurements
  • Ability to read analyze and interpret verbal and written requests or directions
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in one-on-one settings
  • Time management skills to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Receive and validate customer order
  • Identify best routing and transit option per customer request or SOP
  • Anticipate and secure quotation from vendors or agents for all potential order costs
  • Issue customer or overseas office or agent quotation and confirm acceptance
  • Receive and validate customer documents
  • Track and confirm flight arrival and update system milestone
  • Issue Arrival Notice and distribute per customer requirement
  • Dispatch inland carriage with subcontractor if applicable
  • Track and confirm shipment arrival to final CFS if applicable
  • Obtain Pick Up number from carrier and forward to relevant parties if applicable
  • Confirm timely delivery or release of cargo and update system milestone
  • Accrue for all costs in CargoWise and perform initial profitability check
  • Confirm final costs ensuring all are accrued and final profitability check complete
  • Issue invoice to customer or overseas office as required
  • Distribute documents as per shipper requirement or SOP
  • Manage customer reporting and or additional system milestones as required
