Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years freight forwarding experience preferred
- Basic math skills
- Basic geography skills
- Ability to analyze numerical data
- Basic knowledge or ability to learn CargoWise
- Understanding of freight movement and air logistics
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and policies
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic with various measurement units
- Strong communication skills
- Effective time management
- Ability to work independently and within a team

- Basic knowledge or ability to learn freight movement, air vendors, air space configurations, container loads, special loading constraints, regulatory requirements, pricing, service routings, AIT product offerings, equipment types, incoterms, and shipment profitability
- Basic knowledge or ability to learn country regulations and AIT policies that minimize risks
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of currency, weight, volume, and distance measurements
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests and directions
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a variety of people
- Time management skills to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Receive and validate customer orders
- Identify best routing and transit options per customer requests or SOP
- Anticipate and secure quotations from vendors and agents for all potential order costs
- Issue customer or overseas office quotations and confirm acceptance
- Receive and validate customer documents
- Track and confirm flight arrivals and update system milestones
- Issue Arrival Notices and distribute per customer requirements
- Dispatch inland carriage with subcontractors if applicable
- Track and confirm shipment arrival to final CFS if applicable
- Obtain Pick Up numbers from carriers and forward to relevant parties if applicable
- Confirm timely delivery and release of cargo and update system milestones
- Accrue all costs in CargoWise and perform initial profitability checks
- Confirm final costs ensuring all are accrued and complete final profitability checks
- Issue invoices to customers or overseas offices as required
- Distribute documents as per shipper requirements and SOP
- Manage customer reporting and additional system milestones as required
