Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years of freight forwarding experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with CargoWise Enterprise system a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of freight forwarding experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with CargoWise Enterprise system a plus
  • Detail orientation and strong ability to multi-task while maintaining superior quality results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure in a fast and high-volume work environment
  • Excellent time management skills establishing priorities and meeting goals/deadlines

Job Duties

  • Receive, review, and process import documentation from AIT and agent offices worldwide
  • Communicate with worldwide offices/agents regarding proper documentation for imports
  • Process arrival notices for incoming shipments
  • Track and review shipping status to ensure timely departure/arrival/delivery of freight
  • Timely notification and document distribution to AIT CHB and customer customs brokers
  • Accurate and timely consolidation cost entry into Cargo Wise
  • Maintain and update database of key contacts for all carrier and CFS parties
  • Work and communicate with customs brokers and logistics providers to resolve any potential issues/delays
  • Process delivery of cargo, updating Cargo Wise and collection of receivables within defined Company time frames
  • Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier, customs, or other governmental agency examinations that may be required
  • Communicate with agents, coworkers, and supervisors in a clear, concise, and timely manner
  • Adhere to all domestic and international shipping regulations
  • Advise department manager of any transaction problems or irregularities
