Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience in air export
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Cargo Wise software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods
- Ability to speak clearly on telephone
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Adhere to regulatory and company standards
Job Qualifications
- Successful completion of high school or equivalent with additional job-related coursework or training
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in air export
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Cargo Wise or similar software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
Job Duties
- Contact shippers to arrange pickups and obtain necessary documentation
- Book shipments and discuss and confirm rates with airlines
- Ensure regulatory conditions are met and precise documentation exists for shipments
- Ensure documentation is processed, distributed, and discharged timely to relevant parties
- Prepare data entry and confirm critical shipment milestones
- Prepare management information and reports as requested
- Negotiate shipping rates and submit for approval to remain competitive
- Quote inland and airfreight shipments accurately
- Provide reliable communication and customer service focused on air export compliance
- Understand air freight processes from purchase order to cargo delivery
- Continuously review freight costs to identify cost savings within the supply chain
- Ensure accurate documentation to meet customer SOP requirements including approvals and invoicing
- Respond to complaints and seek help from management when needed
- Communicate shipment status and proof of delivery to customers
- Use approved external providers to arrange transportation
- Quickly resolve disputes to ensure safe and timely deliveries
- Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and create solutions
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
