Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years freight forwarding experience preferred
  • Dangerous goods certification preferred
  • Certified CargoWise Specialist CCO required
  • Advanced knowledge of CargoWise software
  • Strong math and geography skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze numerical data and understand relationships
  • Intermediate knowledge of freight movement, air vendors, air space configurations, container loads, special loading constraints, regulatory requirements, pricing, service routings, and shipment profitability
  • Familiarity with country regulations and company policies to minimize risks
  • Basic to intermediate experience using MS Office
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write routine correspondence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Receive and validate customer orders including documentation requirements and compliance checks
  • Identify optimal routing and transit options per customer requests or standard operating procedures
  • Secure and manage vendor quotations and confirm airline bookings
  • Dispatch inland carriage with subcontractors when applicable
  • Accrue all shipment-related costs in CargoWise and conduct initial profitability analysis
  • Issue booking confirmations and customer invoices
  • Track shipments, update system milestones, and manage shipment documentation including AES filings and airway bill validation
