Job Requirements

  • High school completion or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of experience in air freight or freight forwarding
  • Knowledge of air export regulations and AES filing
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • High school completion or equivalent
  • Two years of air freight or freight forwarding experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of air export regulations and AES filing
  • Experience with CargoWise and dangerous goods handling desirable
  • Familiarity with imports recovery and domestic transfers
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in using computers and software such as Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience working in logistics or export coordination environments

Job Duties

  • Obtain a booking with the airline and consign the MAWB as instructed by the branch office or client
  • Confirm shipment approval and define the best possible route to dispatch the shipment to its final destination
  • Ensure shipment is booked and all route legs are complete with operational details and cost estimates entered in Maestro
  • Review documentation, labeling, and markings included with each shipment
  • Check export paperwork for accuracy and completeness, following up if necessary prior to close of shift
  • Replenish shipments requiring dry ice or gel packs and condition shipments accordingly, updating milestones in Maestro
  • Confirm pieces, weights, and dimensions after collection and enter them in Maestro
  • Scan, package, and label inbound shipments before tendering for final destination
  • Verify shipments using a two-step verification process
  • Post departure flight confirmation and attend to domestic and international internal quote requests
  • Send pre-alerts to Marken office or agents and enter PODs in Maestro
  • Complete Gemba calls daily and KSMS every Monday
  • Review CASS reports to ensure shipment rates align with agreements and manage discrepancies with airlines
  • Answer phone calls promptly before the third ring
  • Manage FDA shipment logs in coordination with export and transport teams
  • Report any late pickups or missed flights to supervisors and notify the customer service team
  • Perform other duties as required to assist the operations team in completing daily tasks.
