Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, or authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of relevant air freight or freight forwarding experience
- Knowledge of air export regulations and AES filing
- Experience with CargoWise or dangerous goods
- Strong multitasking skills
- Effective communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and common software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to adhere to procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school completion or equivalent
- Two years of air freight or freight forwarding experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of air export regulations and AES filing
- Experience with CargoWise or dangerous goods handling desirable
- Familiarity with imports recovery and domestic transfers
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency using computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite
Job Duties
- Obtain a booking with the airline and consign the MAWB as instructed by the branch office or client
- Confirm shipment approval before sending to final destination
- Define best route to dispatch shipment
- Ensure shipment booking and completion of all route legs with operational details and cost estimates in Maestro
- Review documentation, labeling, and markings with each shipment
- Check export paperwork for accuracy and completeness and follow up on missing shipment location instructions
- Replenish shipments requiring dry ice or gel packs and update milestones in Maestro
- Confirm pieces, weights, and dimensions, and enter them in Maestro
- Scan, package, and label inbound shipments before final tendering
- Post-flight verification to ensure shipments left on booked flights
- Attend to domestic or international internal quote requests
- Send pre-alerts to concerned offices or agents and enter proof of delivery in Maestro
- Complete daily Gemba walks and weekly KSMS
- Handle CASS reports to ensure correct shipment rating per agreements
- Promptly answer phone calls within three rings
- Manage FDA shipments coordination
- Perform additional duties supporting the Operations Team
- Report any late pickup or missed flights to supervisor and notify customer service team of irregularities
