Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant relevant or appropriate working experience
  • computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, AS/400
  • some knowledge of general and export computer application technology desirable
  • some knowledge of international commerce including sales and payment terms, customs regulations desirable
  • strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • good teamwork skills and inclination

Job Duties

  • Handle job assignments as determined by Team Leader or above
  • provide support service to other Export Agent for export documentation
  • prepare export shipments for assigned customers including customs clearance, shipping, labeling, and distribution
  • generate delivery orders and shipping labels as needed
  • communicate directly with customers daily
  • coordinate pickup and delivery orders with trucking companies, airlines, steamship lines and/or bonded facilities
  • perform filing and data entry
  • issue freight bills and invoices to brokers and collect unpaid invoices within credit term
