Job Requirements
- United States citizenship
- residency in the United States
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- valid United States passport
- at least one year of relevant corrections, law enforcement, or security guard experience
- valid state security officer certification
- physical capability to lift 50 lbs
- report writing skills
- availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical alertness
- ability to pass background investigations
- computer proficiency
- successful completion of required training and certifications
Job Qualifications
- Must be a United States citizen residing in the U.S.
- able to obtain visas and inoculations required to permit departure and entry into the US and all scheduled destinations
- high school diploma or equivalent certification
- minimum of one year of full-time experience as corrections/detention officer within the US or one year of full-time law enforcement experience with federal, state, city, municipality law enforcement, or US military
- one year full-time employment as a security guard with a state issued guard card within last six months
- certified as a Security Officer in the state where work is performed and able to maintain certification
- capable of lifting 50 lbs
- able to write detailed reports and forms
- ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- physically alert and able to handle the assigned shift
- able to complete all required training and certifications
- pass company and federal client background investigation
- proficiency with computers and relevant software used by the department
Job Duties
- Load and unload noncitizen onto and off the aircraft including those handicapped or requiring special assistance
- search noncitizen for contraband
- feed noncitizen during flight
- escort noncitizen to the restroom
- apply restraints and remove them as applicable
- identify proper documentation
- search the aircraft for contraband and assist in post flight cabin cleanup
- load and unload property onto and off the aircraft
- assist with perimeter security as requested
- maintain checklists and checkpoints throughout the assigned shift
- secure and protect personnel and property until properly relieved
- report all violations of orders
- sound the alarm in case of disorder or emergency
- report unusual events that threaten the security of the aircraft or endanger life or property
- take reasonable counteraction to save life and property or lessen danger
- provide for embarkation and debarkation security at each Port of Call
- perform other duties as assigned
