Job Requirements
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- valid driver's license
- ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays and days off
- ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- ability to work in all types of weather conditions
- ability to distinguish colors red, green and yellow
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- experience operating forklifts or similar cargo handling equipment preferred
- good communication skills
- basic math skills for counting and measurements
- knowledge of safety procedures in warehouse operations
- ability to understand and follow verbal commands and safety warnings
Job Duties
- Responsible for moving air cargo within designated warehouse
- load and unload cargo from pallets and containers
- build up cargo for outbound flights
- break down cargo from import flights
- facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semitrucks
- may operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift, aircraft pallets and pallet jacks
- check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo
