Job Requirements

  • HS diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Must join the Transport Workers Union (TWU) and pay union dues
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to work in all weather and environmental conditions
  • Ability to distinguish red, green, and yellow colors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate vehicles in congested airport areas safely
  • Familiarity with cargo handling procedures
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment beneficial

Job Duties

  • Load and unload cargo including mail, express, baggage, freight, and company material on and off aircraft
  • Transport cargo between terminals and aircraft
  • Perform ramp transfers of cargo where required
  • Receive, deliver, and physically handle freight and company material at designated docks
  • Complete forms and messages related to cargo handling and ramp operations
  • Comply with WFS site security procedures and report security breaches
  • Communicate effectively with cockpit crew and other team members during aircraft push-back operations
